GET THE LOOK (Spring 2011 Fashion Week Edition): Z by Zac Posen

Judging by the majority of the beauty looks that traipsed the runways, color will be big for the Spring 2011 season! Backstage at the Z by Zac Posen show, makeup artist Charlotte Willer (for Maybelline) said the look was inspired by theatrical street performances.
"The makeup has a strong vibe with pops of color and a little edgy playfulness to it," she said. "Bright bold shades on the eyes and cheeks and lots of flirty lashes compliment the femininity, humor and sex appeal of Zac's designs."

Here are the products that she used:
-Maybelline Volum' Express the Falsies Mascara
-Maybelline Eye Studio Color Plush Silk Eyeshadow in Give Me Gold, Copper Chic and Sapphire Siren Palettes
*Charlotte applied Sapphire Siren all over the lid and extended to the brow bone for one look. Give Me Gold and Copper Chic created a more muted color statement but extended outward for a dramatic cat eye effect.
-Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor in Very Cherry, Park Avenue Pink, and Backstage #4 (a bright orange created specifically for Fashion Week!)
-Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation
-Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil

Lead hairstylist Odile Gilbert (along with 18 hair stylists) helped to create three different looks that got2b celeb stylist Larry Sims described as a "modern-day Marie Antoinette."
Lucky for you, Sims shared these expert tips on how you can create the look at home:

Deconstructed Bun
-First, curl the hair with a 1/4 inch iron and be sure to curl the sections in opposite directions. Then, set with hairspray.
-After curling, brush the hair out until it's frizzy and then pull into a bun on the very top of the head leaving a few loose tendrils along the hair line.

Playful Pony
-Brush curled hair back into a pony, smoothing strands with hairspray. Like the bun, be sure to leave a few loose tendrils around the hairline.

French twist
-This punkish, rocker-chic look features a French roll in the back and some curly curls on top. (It's totally 80's and I loved it!) Sims suggests that you curl the front of the hair into a small section and then pull the rest back, twist and secure with a few pins so it still looks undone. Use tons of hairspray to hold.

What do you think of this beauty look, Glamazons? I definitely love the eye makeup..so much fun! OH and click here to buy the products so you can rock the look:
