Magazine Glam: T.I. Covers JET and Marries Tiny in a Three-City Tour

It's official. Rapper T.I. wed his longtime girlfriend, Tiny, at a courthouse in Miami Beach yesterday. But that's not all. They're taking their show on the road via UsWeekly.com.

Their next stop is a wedding in front of friends and family on a private island off the coast of Miami.  Then, they'll host a reception in Atlanta and party with friends in Las Vegas.

That sounds worth the wait to me. This is totally the year of the long-term fiancee (shout out to LaLa).

T.I. also covers JET this month in a crisp white suit and an angry stare. Judging from the cover line, he addresses the many media rumors and lies that seem to plague him. Hmm. I'm way more excited to see wedding photos. Apparently, Tiny's wearing Valentino (work!).

AND I think they are soo cute together! Congrats to the new couple.

Live from ESSENCE Music Festival: Ford Sirius Booth with T.I. and Trey Songz, Video Interview with Idris Elba and Boris Kodjoe!!

Believe it or not, Glamazons, Janet Jackson's performance was only the beginning of the fun.

The next day, Ferocia and I headed to the Convention Center for an eventful day at the Ford Sirius booth. We rocked our NEW Glamazon tees, which read "You're looking at a GLAMAZON. No pictures, please." They are our very first design, and were a huge hit at the center! What do you think of them?

Shop the fabulous Glamazon tees here.

First, we got to test-drive the Ford Fusion Hybrid, which is our new favorite car. The hybrid lets you upload music from CD's and Ipods to your car's hard drive so you can say Good-bye to lugging your CD case every time you get in and out of the car.

It has a state-of-the-art advanced navigation system that not only directs you to your destination but reverses the directions for you when it's time to return home (umm, how amazing is that!).

Better yet, it's fuel-efficient operating on 41 miles per gallon. Pretty cool, right? According to Ferocia, who got behind the wheel, it drives like a dream.

After our joy ride, we headed to the Ford Sirius booth where T.I. came through to promote his new film, The Takers, followed by a surprise appearance by Trey Songz. And let's just say the girls---and bodyguards protecting the stars from the girls (you'll see Trey's below)---went crazy!

Both Idris Elba and Trey Songz tried to leave the convention center and were followed by rabid, crazed, screaming fans! Women (including one with a baby on her hip) chased Trey's car down the street screaming and banging on the window. Yeah, never that serious!

In the midst of all that craziness, the stars of the new film, The Takers, Idris Elba and Boris Kodjoe took a moment to chat with us and our good friends from Rolling Out. Boris gave us the scoop on his upcoming fashion line, and Idris let us in on his favorite songs to play when he DJ's. Check it out!

Men's Fly Fashion: T.I.'s Akoo Spring 2010 Lookbook

T.I.'s clothing brand, AKOO, has had the kind of public trouble lately that could rival...well, T.I. himself. They caused controversy for their risque Newark billboard that featured a woman simulating oral sex. Weeks later, they were sued by Akoo International for trademark infringement regarding the brand name.

Still, the drama hasn't deterred the label from churning out another flawless collection for the Spring 2010 season. The look imbues classic, Americana style with a hip, urban edge.

From plaid cargo shorts to cool denim to faded nautical tees, the collection offers time-honored classics with a youthful vitality. The impeccable fit and rich fabrics are unrivaled across the urban 'rapper-turned-designer' clothing landscape, with the exception of Diddy's successful brand, Sean John.

In short, the collection proves that the 'King' title from the brand's moniker, 'A King of Oneself' is truly deserved. Check it out below:

What do you think of the collection? What piece are you picking up when it hits stores?

Sex Sells, but is T.I.'s Clothing Ad Taking it Too Far?

What does simulated oral sex have to do with jeans?

Everything, according to T.I.'s clothing brand, AKOO. Their advertisement, which graces a billboard in Newark, New Jersey (woot! woot! Sorry, Jersey girl moment), depicts a woman pulling down a man's AKOO jeans, with his hand lovingly dictating what she should do with her head. Sigh.

There's been nothing short of an uproar among Jersey residents about the explicit nature of the ad. Even the mayor spoke up, but his gripe wasn't about the simulation, it was about the jeans sagging off the male model's behind...umm, so simulated oral sex in tight jeans is better?

Anyway, I do agree that the ad is not something I'd want my impressionable, pre-pubescent cousin to see while out and about in Newark.

But as we all know, billboard sex is all too common in the high-end fashion world, with Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana being repeat offenders. They make AKOO's ad look tame. Check out some jaw-dropping risque ads below (NSFW).

Implied gang rape at Dolce & Gabbana.

Simulated orgy at Calvin Klein.

Eva Mendes' boobs at Calvin Klein.

Pretend Masturbation at Emanuel Ungaro.

Simulated oral sex again at Puma.

Yes, I guess it catches your eye when you're stuck in traffic on a city street. But is it socially responsible to put these offensive ads out there?

And what in the world does it have to do with clothes? Sex sells, yes, but vulgarity won't encourage me to purchase a pair of jeans. Thoughts?

UPDATE: T.I.'s ad has been taken down from the billboard in Newark. Do you think removing the ad is excessive or understandable?

Let's Hear It For The Boys! Part Two

Next up? The MOST SWAGGERFUL award goes to none other than Mr. West. He's cocky, confident and any grown man that walks around with bookbags and teddy bears doesn't care what you think about him...and isn't that what we find so appealing? In an era where individuality often meets criticism and scrutiny, West's one-of-a-kind, over-the-top style is edgy, brash and unapologetic...and we love him for it.

Label love...The Louis-Vuitton Don in all his signature metallic glory

From the dashing black, white and red suit he wore to the VMA's to the Cornel West meets Urkel meets Diddy look at the Thakoon show, it's clear Kanye loves Fashion. And no matter what other rappers say (I'm talking to you Sigel!), he's not afraid to show it (on his scalp, see below).

Strange, maybe even crazy, but you have to respect his boldness! Wonder what Karl Lagerfeld had to say...

Smart and sharp at the Thakoon show.

And it doesn't hurt to have designing beauty, Alexis Phifer, on his arm either (btw, I think Ghita is adorable). Now if only we'd get a preview of that Pastel line Ye keeps talking about...

Runner-Ups:

T.I. for his extraordinary swag, but T.I.P.'s gotta go...

Photobucket

Jay-Z...so tall and lanky, his suit should thank him! But in the words of my friend Jey, you CAN wear skinny jeans because your debit card fits...

More awards (and sexy pics) on the way...
