GLAM OR SHAM?: Kim Kardashian's Swimwear Line Beach Bunny Hits the Runway in Miami

As we reported in April, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have set their sights on swimwear, with a new sexy line "Beach Bunny" designed in collaboration with Angela Chittenden. Well, the reality star's designs hit the runway for the second time (first was Bebe) recently to display the latest swimwear collection at the Raleigh hotel in Miami Beach.

And my verdict? Swimwear is their calling. It's sexy, flirty and wild, and isn't that the Kardashian sister wardrobe to a tee? 

The silhouettes seductively skim the curves showing as much skin as possible without being completely naked. Well, unless Kim's in a magazine spread, that is.

In a nod to Kim's obsession with pin-up glamour (we all saw her fragrance ad), the swimsuit line featured shapes that would have suited the 50's siren or the modern-day dominatrix. The Miami or California beach girl could find a few staples there too in energetic bursts of colors and splashy prints.

While bikinis will never stray far, cut-out monokinis still seem to be the style du jour. Whether in dominatrix-inspired leather or beach-colored twisted straps, Beach Bunny offered plenty of one-pieces for the trendy crowd.

Still, the collection was defined by dangerous details like S&M strapped suits and lace tied around the eyes (yes, the eyes!) that seemed more suited for bedroom. Whip not included.

Check out the collection, modeled by such names as Jessica White and John Legend's girlfriend, Christine Teigen, and starlets like Selena Gomez sat in the front row.

Soft Skin Wins!: The Products I Use To Keep My Skin Feeling Like Butta

Disclaimer: Alright, my skin doesn't "literally" feel like butter (i.e. greasy) but I just like that saying so I decided to use it in my headline for this post hahaha

Hey Glamazons! So, it's no secret among my friends that I have the some of the softest skin imaginable. I never really realized this until various people began to touch me (some on purpose, others on accident) and said "Wow! Your skin is so soft. What do you use?"

Keep in mind this same comment has come from both men and women alike; which means it's time for me to share my skin softening secrets with you. This also means that I should share my techniques with you, so I'll give that you as well. It's probably not anything that you haven't really seen before, but maybe now you'll give them a second look:

1. It all starts in the shower (or bath). At least once a week, take the time to give yourself a thorough scrub down with a fab body scrub. When you rub, don't be too rough as you don't want to bruise your skin. The ingredients in the scrub will do all of the hard work for you (i.e. getting you soft) so there's really no need to hurt yourself.

2. When getting out of the shower (or bath) pat yourself dry. You could even go the Diddy route and let yourself air dry. (I read somewhere that he doesn't use bath towels when emerging from the shower hahaha).

3. While still sort of damp, apply your moisturizer of choice. I've found that my skin soaks up body oils quickest when it's still semi-sorta wet making it softer-than-soft later.

And this about sums it up! Also, be sure to shave ladies because hairy legs and arm pits are just not attractive no matter how soft your skin is...ew.

MAGAZINE GLAM: Idris Gets Sexy for Ebony Magazine PLUS Kelis' Gorgeous JET Cover

Is it me or are summer covers always the sexiest?

Ebony Magazine's latest issue is sweltering hot featuring our good friend, Idris Elba, on the cover. The sexy actor and DJ rocks a white shirt and a fedora, peeking up at the camera that sexy way he knows how. I can almost feel the heat rising off the page!

The cover so reminds me of our change meeting in New Orleans. I would love to walk out barefoot on a porch down South bringing some ice-cold lemonade to that man...lol...but I digress...

He's promoting his new film, Takers, which he stars in with T.I., Chris Brown, Michael Ealy and a host of other folks. All that fineness in one film is not to be missed!

Kelis is just as hot on this month's cover of Jet in a form-fitting gold dress and slit that shows off her gorgeous gams. Inside the issue, she talks about religion, rearing her son and rising above the drama of her divorce. (Sidenote: Is everyone getting cheated on and then divorcing these days? See Sandra Bullock and Christina Milian.)

She also calls her new album, Flesh Tone, honest...I can't wait to hear how she pours all those emotions into music.

Trend Alert: Colorful Leopard Print

Leopard print is the one fashion trend that never gets old, but it IS getting a fun, vibrant makeover this season. 

Animal print in bold colors like neon yellow, purple and turquoise are perfect for a fresh, youthful look that screams summer.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Amber Rose in a Yellow Ruffle Gown at the Espy Awards

By now, we all know the elements of Amber Rose's style: a skin-tight, spandex dress, a visible bra and killer high heels.

Therefore, seeing the bald bombshell in a gown always comes as a surprise to me. Especially when it's yellow with tiered and flowing ruffles.

The gown is very "My Little House on the Prairie" which wouldn't be terrible if her ginormous, biker rose tattoo wasn't on full tacky display. The combination is jarring.

And the color combined with her platinum blonde hair washes her out so much even the pop of pink color on the lips doesn't help.

Oh, and a lifetime supply of pink glitter to the person who can tell me why she was at the ESPY Awards in the first place? (Rumors that she's sleeping with Reggie Bush don't count...)

GLAM OR SHAM?: The Hills Finale Fashion with Lauren Conrad & Crew PLUS Shop The Look

The Hills didn't influence my life (like MTV is suggesting), but it DID influence my fashion choices. The California girls, whose romance, careers and drama we've watched for seasons, did have everything a fashionista could want at their disposal: credit cards and Rodeo Drive.

With L.C. and Whitney penning their own clothing lines, it's no wonder the Hills became a force in the fabulous world of Los Angeles fashion (and we did enjoy the tearful BFF breakups, Speidi saga and love triangles on the side). I mean, the plot line and Heidi's boobs may not be real, but their fashion obsession certainly was.

For the finale this Tuesday, the girls ended the show with a bang in fashion-forward frocks that are characteristically young, trendy and chic. Check out the looks below and tell me who wore your favorite dress.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Lindsay Lohan On The Cover Of German GQ (And Why Is She Dressed As A Nun Licking A Gun?!)

While Lindsay Lohan may be freaking out about the fact that she's gonna have to serve some time in the slammer, at least she can get some kind of comfort in knowing that she finally landed on the cover of a decent magazine! Even though very few of us will be able to read the article (I mean, can you speak or read German?!) GQ is a pretty upstanding publication, wouldn't you say?

What do you think of her look on the cover? I must admit that I love that super smokey eye and pale pink lip (she pulls the look off very well).

And, since we're on the topic of Lohan, what's up with this photo that's surfaced of Lohan licking a gun?! Apparently, it's a movie poster for a new flick she's in called Machete, a Robert Rodriguez film in which she plays "The Sister."

Hmm...interesting...first she's a famous porn star and now a naughty nun.

Magazine GLAM: Lebron James Lands the September Cover of GQ

The most hated man in America, next to Mel Gibson...and maybe Chad OchoCinco, Lebron is certainly loved by the press.

After covering the new issue of Sports Illustrated, the dapper gentleman (who I had the pleasure of meeting at the Gucci for FFAWN event) has just landed the cover of GQ (pic above is from his last cover in February 2009).

Word has it he bumped out Ryan Reynolds for the coveted spot (wonder if Ryan will join forces with Cleveland and burn a jersey, or Lebron's old GQ cover or something).

Sources at GQ tell WWD that they planned the shoot before Lebron's hyped decision to join the Miami Heat, which means they're uber lucky because they couldn't have picked a better time. Whether people love or hate Lebron's move to Miami, they are certainly talking, and reading, about it.

What do you think of Lebron's decision, and the accompanying ESPN special? Will you pick up GQ's new issue or are you tired of hearing about him?

I won't tell you my opinion (for fear of getting attacked...which should tell you enough already) but let's just say Miami's my favorite place to escape to also Lebron...

A Day In The Life: Interview w/Stacey Bendet, Creator of Alice + Oliva (Plus A Look At Her Newest Makeup Collection With MAC)

Hey Glamazons! So, unless you've been hiding underneath a rock these past couple of weeks, I'm sure you've heard all about the fact that MAC hooked up with Alice + Olivia creator Stacey Bendet to create their newest collection . It's fun, flirty and consists of MAC's Dazzleglass Creme lipgloss, Pigment and Nail Lacquer. What's even more fun than playing with the products in the collection? Why, chatting with the designer herself! (That's us pictured together! Isn't she the cutest?! She agreed with me when I said we were very attractive lol) Last night was the official launch party and models along with the media elite gathered at The Beauty Bar to celebrate. Here's what Stacey had to say about the collabo:

Ferocia: Why did you decide to the collection with MAC?

Stacey: MAC has always been one of my favorite brands, just from the purpose of their makeup. I'm like obsessed with all of it and I'm always running to the makeup counters. They always have the most fun colors and, I don't know, I just feel like that's sort of like who my girl is. And, it's not that I don't try a million different makeups because I'm a big collector but, I just love how they do all of their branding. I've always loved how they do their collaborations. So, when they approached me to do something I was really excited because I felt like MAC and Alice + Olivia have a lot of sort of synergies. And it was great. It was so fun!

Ferocia: So, were you really into it when you were creating the collection?

Stacey: Yeah! We were playing with colors, working on the packaging and, you know, it was kind of like what they were like 'Whatever you think makeup is to Alice + Olivia, that's what we wanna do' and it was so sort of like free reign. It was a very fun collaboration.

Ferocia: What's your favorite product in the line?

Stacey: I'm obsessed with the nail polishes because I love funky nails. I have polka dots! I think the colors came out amazing. And the lip glosses are awesome. Like the yellow when you first look at it, it's like 'That's weird!' but then you put it on and it makes you glow.

Side note: Here's the yellow lip gloss she's talking about. It's one of the Dazzleglass Creme's in 'I.Want.Candy' ($18)

Ferocia: What was the inspiration behind the colors that you chose and the names?

Stacey: Well, it was just supposed to be just quintessential Alice + Olivia. So, I wanted the colors to be like really bright, fun and unexpected. It tied into some of our summer collection but it also was just supposed be very like black, white pops of color.

Ferocia: So, are you going to be giving us more cosmetic collections in the future?

Stacey: I'd like to! We'll see!

Ferocia: A fragrance?!

Stacey: Maybe, we'll see, we'll see.

Ferocia: What's the big thing that you must have when it comes to fall beauty?

Stacey: I've been really into red lips. I think it's because my hair is so dark right now.

Ferocia: Can you give us a sneak peek as to what we can expect from from Alice + Olivia this fall?

Stacey: I'm wearing some of it now. It's really rich colors. Kind of rock and roll-y but in kind of a grungier way I'd say. So, there's some really fun pieces coming out. We also launched a whole career line which is all "sexy career." It's dresses and blazers that you can totally wear to the office and then go out in.

The best part of the party were the free manicures! Below is my Beauty Blogging Junkie amiga Amber Katz and AOL Stylelist's Dana Oliver modeling their fresh manis. Fierce, right?! Love that it looks great on all skin tones.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Kelis' Lime Green Dress and Pastel Pumps at her Release Party for Flesh Tone

Let me start out by saying, Kelis is a beautiful woman.

But we all know she loves to take fashion risks, and they don't always work in her favor.

For her FleshTone album release party, the newly-divorced Mom rocked a lime green slinky slip dress with a matching clutch and eye makeup.

Then, to throw us off, she mixed it up with lilac Christian Louboutin pumps, a purple necklace, drop earrings and red hair.

She has a fabulous body you can't buy and her funky, free style is refreshing. But in my opinion, she just looks crazier and tackier as the days go by.

I mean, who goes to the club in Easter colors? And the dress looks like it would unravel and fall apart with one pull.

I'm not a fan, but what's your verdict, Glamazons?  Glam or Sham?

Would You Wear...Clear Stripper Platform Heels like Beyonce and Taylor Momsen?

When I first wore my black peeptoe lucite platform sandals from Bebe to the club, I anticipated getting several side-eyes (like the sideeye Prince gave Trey Songz at the BET Awards...not pretty!). To my surprise, the stripper-inspired shoes were a hit. Don't stop reading yet, let me explain.

If you pair lucite platforms with a spandex Herve Leger dress, you are, indeed, wearing a stripper's uniform and sideeyes are both warranted and necessary. But worn with a casual jumpsuit, or demure cut dress, the shoes can be fresh and fun.

For instance, when Beyonce wore her stripper platforms, aka Fendi Cinderella heels, recently in London with a black jumpsuit, and then again with a white shirt and jeans, I didn't see visions of poles, spandex and whisky swirling through my head.

But when Shauna Shands wears the shoes with a hot pink tight leopard dress OR Taylor Momsen wears them with the word TIPS and dollar bills in the platform, it is Magic City, Sue's Rendezvous or Hustler's all the way. Do we see a difference?

What's your verdict? Do stripper platform heels work with the right look, or are they always a sizzling, burning, explosive mess? GLAM or a SHAM?
