GLAM OR SHAM?: Roberto Cavalli's 40th Anniversary Party with Heidi Klum, Rachel Bilson, Tyra Banks, Taylor Swift and More
It's no secret that one of my favorite designers of all time is Roberto Cavalli. Few designers make leopard print as elegant and luxurious as Cavalli. More importantly, he knows a woman's figure. His silhouettes always accent the most beautiful part of a woman's shape without losing an ounce of refinement.
His expertise in tailoring and design was more evident than ever at his 40th Anniversary party in Milan as his designs were worn on the red carpet by some of today's hottest celebrities and models. Check out the gorgeous celebs that came out to his event from Heidi Klum to Taylor Swift and, you know the drill, choose who was MOST GLAM.
Rachel Bilson wowed in a leopard print floor-length mermaid gown with a one-shoulder neckline and red clutch.
Heidi Klum wore a nude shimmery gown with a plunging neckline. Stunning! She traded in her finger waves for a sleek pulled-back 'do and bangs.
Tyra Banks wore an animal print jumpsuit underneath a black blazer. She accessorized with strappy sandals and an animal print clutch. I think the look is too busy and doesn't accentuate her figure at all.
Covergirl Taylor Swift showed off her gorgeous legs in a black shimmery minidress and criss-cross strapped stilettos. And---surprise, surprise---she wore red lipstick to complete the look.
Leona Lewis blew me away on the red carpet in a peach gown with a melange of ruffles and chiffon fabric. While the skirt of the gown is a bit busy, I love the color against Leona's skin and sleek brown hair.
While Leona certainly gets the Most Improved award, my vote for MOST GLAM is with Rachel Bilson. I would never take that dress off! It's perfect. What do you think, Glamazons? Vote on your pick for Most Glam.
And here are my fave Roberto Cavalli pieces of the season and some less expensive pieces you can rock to recreate the look.
Kisses,
Coutura

Saks Fifth Avenue Will Carry Plus-Size Chanel, YSL, Valentino...No, Seriously...
The high-end designer brands that could previously only fit mannequins, and other petite specimens, will now be available in larger sizes at Saks Fifth Avenue, according to Racked.com.
Expect to see designs by Chanel, YSL, Dolce & Gabbbana, Akris, Carolina Herrera, Escada, St. John, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara, YSL, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors and Valentino in...wait for it...wait for it...a size 10! and maybe some 14's! a few 16's!
Even some select designers will stock pieces in sizes up to 20!
Sounds too good to be true? Well, the downside is the quantity, or lack of, as they'll only stock one of each size for certain pieces.
Still, it is a baby step in the right direction.
Will you shop the new plus-size section of Saks?
Kisses,
Coutura

GLAM or SHAM?: Jennifer Lopez is Sizzling Hot in Three Roberto Cavalli Looks at the WMAs
Jennifer Lopez hasn't lost an ounce of the sizzling sex appeal that made her famous. In fact, post-marriage and babies, she's hotter than ever.
The siren turned heads at the WMA's in three gorgeous dresses by her designer friend, the great Roberto Cavalli.
Jennifer hit the red carpet in a plunging leopard print gown that left little to the imagination. To perform a medley of her hits, she wore another plunging fringed, sequined minidress. To accept the Legend for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts award, JLo opted for a tiger print one-shoulder gown with a beautiful feathered train.
Jennifer Lopez and Roberto Cavalli are great friends; JLo and Marc recently spent time on Cavalli's yacht in Nice. How fabulous!
Their friendship makes for some amazing red-carpet glamour.
What look on JLo did you love the most? The tiger print gown is my favorite, it is absolutely stunning! Though I LOVE that she pairs the leopard print gown with a snakeskin clutch; way to mix prints, Jenn.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Mary J. Blige at the Grammys
A pop of color goes a long way on the Grammys 2010 red carpet. With Rihanna in white Elie Saab, Beyonce in Stephanie Rolland nude and Ciara in Givenchy black, Mary's magical magenta Gucci gown brought some life and energy to the mix.
Her bold hue shined against her glowing brown skin and golden hair. Her subtle makeup and dazzling jewelry were the perfect accompaniments (I would've chosen a silver clutch over black though). But these aren't the best parts.
The body-skimming silhouette showed off a toned, curvaceous figure that put even the young celebs to shame (It certainly put me to shame. Heading to the gym after this post).
And the detailed neckline, a theme at the Grammys (see Rihanna's high neckline and Jennifer Lopez's halter neckline) gave the gown some interest with its purposefully-placed cut-outs. It highlighted Mary's pretty cleavage, toned shoulders and muscular arms in a way that was feminine and elegant. Love.
For her performance with David Foster and Andrea Bocelli as a tribute to Haiti, Mary J. Blige wore another stunning hue: a cobalt blue jersey gown with beaded detail from Roberto Cavalli's Pre-Spring 2010 collection. Color looks good on her.
Check out her performance via my beloved hip hop site, Rap Radar, below:
What do we think of Mary's boldly hued looks? Glam or a Sham?
