FIRST LOOK! Jil Sander for Uniqlo "+J"

Glamazons!

The good news keeps coming. Jil Sander is the latest designer to create an affordable line for a mass retailer with +J, her collection for Uniqlo via NYMag.com. Whereas some collections skimp on quality to meet the lower price point, +J is a well-made line of women's and men's sweaters, jackets, shirts and jeans. And the prices? $20-155!

I went to the Jil Sander Spring 2009 runway show and was fascinated by the pure austerity of it: the clean lines, neutral hues and understated, elegant designs. J+ gives the Jil Sander lover the same impeccable fit, muted tones and signature minimalist aesthetic for less than a third of the price. And as I'm a huge fan of Uniqlo's perfectly tailored sweaters and jeans, Jil Sander seems an ideal fit for the retail giant. See Glamazon faves below (I have my eye on that beautifully tailored peacoat) and let us know which looks you snag when it hits stores, October 1st.

Kisses,

Coutura

This collection looks fantastic. Very wearable. I'm so mad I don't live in NYC anymore! No Uniqlo!

I think the collection is spectacular. This smart and savvy fashion line a la "Women in Business Suits" are what dreams are made of! The Uniqlo/Topshop-wearing "recessionista" is sure to thrill this fall. Good work guys!
